Whether you've completed a feedback survey, participated in an online quiz, or submitted an application, it's crucial to know how to access the Google Forms you've filled out. Knowing how to access the Google Forms you submitted is also critical if you want to review or edit your responses.

In this blog post, we’ll provide you with a simple and informative guide on how to view Google Forms that you’ve submitted. We'll explore the various methods available, from accessing the form through the submission confirmation page to using your response receipts.

Can you see what Google Forms you've filled out?

Even though it would be very convenient, Google Forms doesn’t provide a native option to view all the forms you’ve filled out. However, there are still two ways to see it if you’ve just filled out a form.

The first is through the confirmation window after submission, and the second is through the email confirmation you receive. Let's learn more about each.

Through the confirmation window

When you submit a Google Form, the confirmation window saying “Your response has been recorded” may contain a link to edit your form. If you click this link, it will take you back to the form where you can view your responses.

Through the email confirmation

The second way to view or edit your Google Form is through the email confirmation you receive on filling out the form. It contains your form responses listed below an “Edit response” button. You can simply see your responses here or click the Edit Response button to change your responses.

However, this method of viewing your Google Form only works if the creator of the form has turned on the “Send responders a copy of their response” setting. It also works if the form owner is using Form Publisher to send you a document with your responses.

How to view Google Form responses after submission

You can see which Google Forms you submitted by looking through their confirmation emails. It’s important to note that the following steps are only valid if the form creator has turned on the appropriate setting: sending a copy of your response.

Step 1: Fill out the Google Form

The first and most obvious step is to complete the Google Form. Fill out the Google Form as you normally would.

Step 2: Have a copy of your responses sent to you

If the setting mentioned above is turned on, you’ll see a “Send me a copy of my responses” option right before the “Submit” button. Toggle it to turn it on.

Step 3: Submit the form

Click the “Submit” button to complete your form submission.

Step 4: View the confirmation email

Now, you’ll receive a confirmation email that contains your Google Form responses. You can view it in your Gmail account and even click “Edit response” to open the Google Form you filled out.

That’s it, you should be able to view any confirmation emails of the Google Forms you submitted.

If you’re a form creator and want your respondents to have an easy way to view their submitted responses, you may want to download Form Publisher. Form Publisher is a Google Forms add-on that creates documents upon submission. These documents are also stored in your Google Drive to share later.
